Tarot Cards Pick You Book Recommendation!

Happy Monday! Time to kick off the week with some new recommendations ♥

NOTE: I have links to places you can purchase these books – these are NOT affiliate links! While I do receive ALC copies from Libro.fm, I do not receive anything if you purchase from them.

However, if you would like to start an Libro.fm account, you can use my referral link for 1 free audiobook!

The Concept

I originally got this idea from Ariel Bissett! So if you haven’t seen her video, definitely head over to her channel.

This is a 3 card spread and you can play along one of two ways:

  1. Chose one of the 3 cards that speaks to you. Don’t over think it, just chose which ever one your gut is telling you to.
  2. View this as virtual weekly or 3 card spread! A 3 card spread can be read many ways but the most common interpretations are:
    • Past, Present, Future
    • Mind, Body, Spirit
    • You, Me, Us
    • Stop, Start, Continue

UPDATES: One of the things I’m changing this year is I’ll be including some video/story footage over on my Instagram. So if you want to watch that or pick a card over video, the story will be saved to a highlight all week ❤️

The Spread

Now is the time to pick a card! I’ll read the cards from Left to Right. So feel free to skip to the card you pick or read them all!

Card 1: ‘The Past’

The first card is: DAUGHTER OF CUPS

The Daughter (or Page) of cups is creative and emotional. It’s a romantic card symbolizing youthfulness, art, and inspiration. You may find yourself dreaming up new ideas and struggling to stay grounded. This is a time of creative energy

Recommendation

Charlotte Holmes series by Brittany Cavallaro

For this card I had to recommend this YA mystery series. “struggles to stay grounded” essentially summarizes Charlotte Holmes to a T.

This series follows Charlotte, a descendant of Sherlock Holmes, and Jamie Watson. When an attack at their boarding school brings the two together, start to unravel a mystery that runs deep through their shared history.

This book is full of romantic tension, mental health discussions, intricate mystery, and characters you can’t help but fall in love with.

Card 2: ‘The Present’

The second card is: 6 OF CUPS

This card is all about nostalgia! It represents memories, childhood innocence, and uninhabited joy. Look at the roots of your past and get lost in the memories. Bask in the magic and simplicity of youth – it’s time to be playful and joyful!

Recommendation

I’m so glad I found a way to recommend this steamy romance!

Truth or Dare by Danielle Allen

Purchase Physical Copy

I just read this romance this past weekend and I completely fell in love with it. This a super short (170ish pages), steamy story about a group of long time friends who get together for their friends’ wedding.

This group became friends their Freshman year of college and they’ve remained close ever since – despite being scattered all across the county. So when they all reconvene at a swanky resort for their friends wedding, memories (and sparks) fly.

This romance is hot. I really felt the chemistry between the main characters and it’s one of the few times friends to lovers has really worked for me.

Card 3: ‘The Future’

The final card is: 10 OF SWORDS

This is definitely not the most desirable card… The 10 of swords symbolizes rock bottom. A dead end. You’ve officially reached your breaking point. Whether you feel betrayed, backed into a corner, or out of options, acknowledge the problem head on and make sure you’re not standing in your own way. And practice self-care – you may be experiencing breakdowns, chronic fatigue, and exhaustion. Take care of yourself.

Recommendation

If you are going through a hard time, or have recently (or even no so recently) come out the other side, I cannot recommend this book enough.

Honey Girl by Morgan Rogers

Purchase Physical Copy
Purchase Audio Copy

This book is a serious emotional rollercoaster. Morgan Rogers tackles so much in the short novel and she does it with the most beautiful prose and style.

This heart wrenching novel follows a woman who has finally received her PhD in Astronomy. But rather than winning the dream job laid out for her, she finds herself hungover in Vegas married to a woman she doesn’t know.

As Grace confronts what she wants out of life, she realizes she may not have things as together as she wants everyone to believe. So she sets out to catch her breath and discover her next steps. And along the way, confront some internal demons she’s been battling.

Trigger warnings for depression, anxiety, self harm, microaggressions and racism, and personality disorders

What card did you pick and did the meaning/recommendation fit for you??

  1. I picked the middle card (the preent) and the meaning was really fitting, I was surprised, the recommendation seems interesting, especially when I don’t read much romance, but if I can find it, I’ll give it a try! Love this posts! 🙂 Happy reading and take care!
