So I didn’t love these….
Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018.
So today’s topic isn’t the happiest post ever 😅 I actually don’t love talking about books I didn’t like. It’s way more fun to gush about and recommend books I love.
HOWEVER –
My couple of 1 and 2 star reviews are my most frequently viewed posts so maybe I need to be a Negative-Nancy more often 🤣
Here are 10 books I would gladly donated to the ocean (theoretically of course – donate/recycle your books guys)
Oh! And these are ranked from least to my absolute most hated book.
10. Serpent & Dove by Shelby Mahurin
This is probably a little harsh and it’s painful to a lot of your 😅 But this book did nothing for me and I truly hated the male narrator. So I just don’t have any good memories of this well loved YA fantasy.
9. All Your Twisted Secrets by Diana Urban
This book had promise but everything went so downhill… And that ending. Sigh…
8. Ink and Bone by Rachel Caine
What a snooze fest of a book. I forced myself to finish this one and it was 100% not worth it.
7. The First Mistake by Sandie Jones
There wasn’t anything wrong with this book. But it was boring AF.
6. The Dinner by Herman Koch
Probably the least controversial book on this list. What was the point of this?..
5. The Goal by Elle Kennedy
This book is a mess and honestly doesn’t even deserve to be in the same company as the rest of the series..
4. Girls With Razor Hearts by Suzanne Young
I’m sure you’ve heard me rant about this book.. if not, just know it was bad. Or read my full review.
3. We Told Six Lies by Victoria Scott
A case of YA thriller gone terribly wrong. This was so outrageous and ridiculous. And I didn’t like it at all…
2. The Return by Rachel Harrison
I wavered on whether or not this book deserved the 1 or 2 spot. In the end I think this book was less enjoyable but also less problematic. So it’s my #2 most hated book of all time.
1. In the Unlikely Event by L.J. Shen
And this problematic monstrosity is the worst book I’ve ever read. Don’t read this. Save yourself.
What are some books you’d glad get rid of? Share your post in the comments so I can check out your list!
